Meindl Lady Borneo MFS
By far the most popular walking boot in our shop!
The Meindl Lady Borneo is a sturdy 2 season boot designed for summer hillwalking and trekking. The (MFS)memory foam system around the ankle gives firm but comfortable padding and secures the ankle in place .It uses a Vibram multigriff rubber sole giving good traction making it fine for a spot of scrambling.(Having used these boots many's a time on the Cuillin Ridge(Skye) we can vouch for its scrambling capability) The Borneo is also one of the only boots to use a leather lining making them very cool for trekking in hot countries. From the Inca trail in Peru to The Great Wall of China the Meindl Borneo has kept feet cool and comfy!

Meindl Burma MFS
The Burma is a very similar boot to the Borneo.The main difference being that the Burma has a Gore-tex lining .This gives extra protection against the elements but makes the boot slightly warmer.Ideal for summer hillwalking and trekking the Burma offers superb suport and comfort for long distances. Now comes with (MFS) memory foam system which gives extra supportive padding around the ankle impoving comfort.

Meindl Makalu GTX
The Makalu is a 3-4 season boot with a tremendous reputation for comfort. The Sil-Nubuck leather upper backed by a Gore-tex lining keep your feet dry and also give the ankles plenty of support. A fairly ridged sole enables secure foot placements in snowy conditions but is also flexable enough for long approaches.This boot is also available with a leather lining instead of Gore-tex And is called the Nepal Pro.

Scarpa ZG 65
The Scarpa ZG65 is an ultra light 1/2 season boot best suited to walking and hiking in fairly rough terrain. They use a Gore-Tex XCR lining which is considerably more breathable than standard Gore-Tex. A minimal weight lining is used not only to keep the weight down but also to keep your feet as cool as possible. A substantial vibram sole gives good traction in a variety of terrian.
