The Montrail Ventana is a cross country trail shoe suitable for all types of terrain. A close fitting heel cup holds the back of the foot firmly, coupled together with a removable insole with arch support giving the foot plenty of support. The toe box is quite roomy for a more comfortable fit. The Ventana gives good grip on slopes and undulating terrain due to the patented Gryptonite material on the soles, which (as the name suggests) provides good grip.
If you are looking for an approach shoe with minimal weight but with high performance on rough hillsides and tracks then the Ventana is fits the bill.
