Rab VR Trail Smock
The Rab trail smock uses the very efficient 'vapour-rise' system which combines a Pertex Equilibrium outer and Microfleece liner.It's ability to move moisture away from the body rapidly at the same time as being windproof and showerproof is why this system is so effective and respected by the people who have used it.The Rab Trail smock is a bit longer than the Rab Trail top and is particularly favoured by mountaineers, rock climbers and hillwalkers for it's performance in changeable weather conditions.
Features include: Deep two way zip allows bellowing ventilation and reduces flapping fabric , velcro adjustable cuffs, which allows greater flexability in cuff height for venting but also an adjustable seal against the elements , fold away hood with volume reducer around neck, means whereever your head goes your hood goes with it , wired hood visor , two high zipped chest pockets (useful when wearing harness) , elasticated hem cord with one handed toggle adjustment

Rab Generator Smock
The Generator smock gives exceptional insulation at a fraction of the weight of conventional fleece jackets. The smock can be worn as a mid-layer or thrown over the top of an outer layer for extra warmth at belays or lunch stops. The Pertex Quantum outer and inner combined with PrimaLoft® One synthetic filling means the Generator has a high level of wind resistance and warmth but also allows it to dry out rapidly when wet.
The smock stuffs into its own compact chest pocket for storage in your rucsac ready for lunch stops or in the event of an emergency.
It is worth bearing in mind that although Pertex Quantum is quite tough, it has its limitations. So best not to use it as a cushion on a rocky seat or wearing as an outer while thrutching up a granite chimney! We feel that the Generator smock is the best top of its type on the market.
