The Beal Iceline ropes have extremely low impact force which makes them the ultimate Continental style ice climbing rope. This low impact force helps the Iceline to take considerable pressure of marginal protection which is a real bonus when running it out way above your last ice screw! At 8.1mm they are super skinny and super slick so extra care has to be used both while belaying and abseiling.The Iceline is quite a specialized rope which is best used on steep ice rather than lower angle routes.
