The Meindl Borneo is a sturdy 2 season boot designed for summer hillwalking and trekking.The (MFS) memory foam system around the ankle gives firm but comfortable padding which secures the ankle more in place. It uses a Vibram multigriff rubber sole giving good traction making it fine for a spot of scrambling.(Having used these boots many's a time on the Cuillin Ridge(Skye) we can vouch for its scrambling capability) The Borneo is also one of the few
boots to use a leather lining making them very cool for trekking in hot countries. .From the Inca trail in Peru to The Great Wall of China the Meindl Borneo has kept feet cool and comfy!
